Emergency preparedness is highly prioritized at Nikkelverk, both within our production plant and in nearby areas.
Nikkelverk carries out evacuation drills regularly every year. There are 60 workers at Nikkelverk who are part of the industrial protection's emergency preparedness force. These train an average of 3000 hours a year. The industrial protection force is trained to deal with fires, personal injuries and leaks of gas and dangerous chemicals before the emergency services arrive. Furthermore, we are always ready to assist the Kristiansand fire department if necessary.
